O pain and Ovulation❓

Does anyone know what stage in ovulation you are when you experience o pain? I had intense o pain on Nov 1st(Wed) and we bd both days before and not since then. Basically I want to know if the o pain is the release of the egg or the travel down the tubes or all of the above. My pain lasted all day but was very intense that evening and night.
