You are very blessed. When my boys were young I was able to work part time and I loved it. I have to continue working full time this time. I'm not thrilled but don't have a choice so we will make the best of it.

I totally understand. It's so hard to leave the baby. ? I offered working part time from home and making my own hours (working in the evenings when my husband is home), but unfortunately that wasn't a possibility at this time. Honestly that would've been the best scenario for me, but it's a relief knowing that they will take me back when I'm ready to come back. My boss actually took off a few years too when her kids were little, so she was in the same shoes. I don't have my family here (they all live overseas), so I don't really have anyone I trust to watch my LO.

Sahm here and I feel so lucky because I couldn't imagine being away from him and Idk how others can do it !??

Same here babybear. They are strong mamas. I wish we would have maternity leave here how they have it in Germany... you can take up to 3 years. Not all of it is paid of course, but they have to hold your job for you. Plus everyone gets €150 a month per child (not welfare or anything like that, everyone gets it regardless of income). I think all moms deserve more time with their babies before having to worry about going back to work.

going back! I loved my job but I wanted to stay at home with him!

And same with finances!! But we make it work! And it always works out! ?

We definitely are very lucky. @chedges, same for me, I enjoyed my job (most of the time anyways lol) and the office is literally a block away from our house which was sooo convenient but I wanted to stay home with Enzo. I'm a little terrified about money lol, but I can always get an afternoon part time job if I have to. Super blessed for sure ? Oh and I love photography, it's something I always wanted to pursue but never did ?

I am a stay at home mommy and ao thankful! One of my really good friends owns her own cleaning business and shes giving me some hours this summer that will work with mine and SOs schedule. I also will be able to bring Ander if I need too.

Thank you girls! @kate, a year off is awesome. Much better than 6 or 12 weeks that we get here. Are you in Canada? @laci, that's great that you can make a little extra money and bring your little one. I'm hoping to be able to find something like that too for the time being. I wish I was a little more talented or creative, so I could have my own Etsy shop lol.
