Girl problems - need to vent ?

Just need to feel sorry for myself for a minute.

SAME thing happened to me. I had just moved from DC going to an AMAZING and super expensive stylist and had to go to a new stylist in the small town we now live in and she absolutely ruined my hair. I cried and cried and it still makes me super upset to think about it. Thankfully you have enough money to fix yours, I just couldn't justify the expense as money is tight with us.

Honestly I feel terrible about spending the extra money, I feel like an idiot and feel like I could use it for way more important things. But I also know myself and know I would be miserable and that would probably frustrate my husband, understandably so. And I'm too scared to "fix" it myself lol.

Sorry to hear they ruined your hair too, it's so annoying because you go to the salon thinking you'll leave feeling fabulous and instead you walk out wanting to hide... it sucks!

Oh you poor thing

I do my hair myself as I know exactly what level peroxide works and for how long it needs plus what colours take better and how porous my hair is.

I just don't trust no.one but I did study hair and skin etc etc

I would never tell anyone to accept a colour or cut they don't like and I wouldn't care if the person who did it felt offended or not.if it's not what you asked for then you shouldn't have to pay or stay with it. It should be refunded and fixed for free by someone better in the salon like the lead stylist.

That is standard in many salons unless you bleach your hair blonde in one sitting they may ask for you to sign a paper removing legal responsibility or if you used henna previously etc.

I would cry if I got my hair done for free and I didn't like it.

Maybe try calling them so you don't feel so awkward abd explain it all to them ask to meet someone after getting the brunt of it off your chest then show the picture of what you wanted even take a picture of yourself now so it's clear comparison.

The woman should have got someone to sort you out straight away maybe not to colour it again but to make an app for a fix for free in a week or 2 depending if they used bleach or just peroxide with toner and a total refund

If they don't co operate you can check if they have an online Google maps thing and leave negative feedback and let them know your doing it. ?don't tolerate people who don't do their job properly

I hate changing hair dressers and trusting someone else so I do mine myself with boring box dye! Be aware though that when pregnant your hair can take to colour differently because of hormones I think so it could also be that? I hope you get it fixed.in time for Christmas!

My hair is naturally dark brown and tends to turn red. My old stylist was my cousin, and the last few times I went to her, I felt she wasn't doing a great job. There was a girl I was following on instagram that does amazing hair, but was super expensive. DH told me to go ahead and go to her. I've been going to her for a year and I love her. I went when I first found out I was pregnant, and my roots turned very brassy, which usually never happens with her. I knew it was my hormones that caused the color change.

It's probably your hormones, but honestly, I would do the same thing as you. I wouldn't go back to the other girl because she may mess it up even more. I would go to the expensive salon, and just stick with them from now on. Don't worry about the money, just think about how much you will love it when it's done.

I lightened my hair and my hair was super orange. I think it's the hormones as well. It is also falling out and very tangled all the time. I'm never dying my hair while pregnant again. Definitely wait for after baby gets here.

Pregnant or not I've cried over my hair before. I asked for a few layers and the lady literally made me look like a dang Christmas tree ?. Made me ?. I've really only trusted 3 ladies with my hair. I hate having to find new stylists and take recommendations always from ladies I know I can trust. I feel most ladies identify themselves by our hair, our self confidence lays with our hair and how we look.

Thank you so much girls! You all made me feel a little less "pathetic" for crying over my hair lol.

I'm at the hair salon right now (the good hair salon) and the girl seems to know what she's talking about and is really putting thought into this. Wish me luck! I will update when I'm done. ????
