bleeding and cramping

So I'm just about 8 weeks. And I was have bad cramping thought it was a upset stomach but felt like I started my period kinda cramping. Went to the bathroom and I'm bleeding it's light flow but it's bright red. So idk if I should be headed to the er or not. This is my 3rd pregancy I have never had this happen with my other 2 I just don't feel right. What should I do. My mom said to lay down for a bit but she thinks I'm miscarriaging and I'm just nervous and scared.
