"she's a kid, they do that"

"she's a kid, they do that"

Does anyone else get that statement about other kids? My neice is 5 and hates sharing (I get that) but she seriously has to be told by an adult everytime. She got a tablet for christmas and was playing a game on it and ryder asked for a turn and told him it was her turn again (and the next 4 turns) so I downloaded on my tablet for him to play and he tried 2 times and came over and said oh let me play, and took it! Then he wanted to play something else and she turned it to her to play with it, while holding her own. She's been doing it with everything... I was talking to my mom and she says she's a kid, they do that. But I don't think that's right. She's 5 and ryder was sharing better and he's 3! She screams anytime he touches her toys but runs and takes his from him. And u can't say anything because my mom thinks they'll never come back out.
