Baby 'Meet & Greet'...?

This is our third baby & we are not having a baby shower. I still want to somehow celebrate baby & was wondering if anyone has done a Baby Meet & Greet? I just feel like it would be so nice if baby was already here before having a party of any sort. My question is on etiquette. Like how long after baby is born do you have the party, what do you do for food, what do you put on invitations, or do you even send out invites, etc. Has anyone done one of these before? I've heard that they are called 'Sip & Sees' down south. Give me some ideas ladies!!!
