OK so now that all the lo will be turning one soon people thinks its ok to forward face. Just because the car seat allow it doesn't mean they should be. Here's my kids, my son will be 3 next month and is still rear facing and my twins that will he one next months is also rear facing. Their car seat rear faces till they hit 40 I think. So that's not for a long time for any of my kids. I will keep them till they out grow their weight or till they turn 4. .

Best car seats hands down.
Radian rxt,
I get mine from Amazon and they can be expensive but it was my only option for this car and they r the best car seats I've used and I would recommend them to anyone if they have the funds
What kind of car seats are those? My girly is still in her infant seat. Looking to get a new one.
We do extended rear facing too.
And we will also keep my almost 4 year old in a five point harness until he is mature enough to sit in a high back booster and then a booster until he is tall enough, big enough, mature enough for a seat belt. It will be his norm.
Thanks so much for posting
I just commented this on another post. Some states have updated their car seat laws and ff at one is illegal. I live in nj and the new laws go into effect sept 1. You must rf until two and 30lbs. I plan to rf until dd maxes out the limits on her seat, but in case there is anyone out there who decides to ff at one, it may be illegal where you live.
Oh I also want to say I'm not taking bad about u if u want to forward face after one. I'm just saying to do your research first
I really wish Australia would catch up with extended rear facing. They're so slack here. Minimum legal age rear facing is 6 months old, after that they can legally be forward facing :(
After 2 is totally up to u, my son is forward facing in my van because there is no way to get him rear facing in it without it being a huge hassle but I don't take my van very often. Pediatricians don't know car seat safety like they should.
Yes! Thank you! I dont understand why everyone is in such a rush to forward face their babes... My son (and future kiddos) will be rear facing as long as possible! Its the safest for them!
I am also committed to extended rear facing after research. Here, you can forward face at two, but I am going to rear face until my son no longer can because of weight and height restrictions.
Rear facing is safer for them. Especially after I watched that video about the difference between the two in a collision.
My daughter is 3 and is forward facing, has been for a while..... Her pediatrician has never said to leave her rear facing
AWESOME post. I feel very strongly about rear facing car seats. I've done a lot of research and educated myself on what's best for my son. I feel a lot of people just go by the age or if they out grow an infant seat. We just bought a convertible seat that will rear face until he's 3-4 or even longer!!!
