Yesterday and today my son is being very naughty. He will be 2 next month so maybe its his age but me being very pregnant and my husband always working i get overwhelmed really easy. Well today he keeps messing with the plug where the ac is and ive told him no 100 times and got a ball and tried playing with him and he tells me to sit down so he can play with the plug. I put him in the corner which did absolutely nothing. And then i spanked him which im totally against and i felt horrible. But he continued to do it. Luckily he had to poop because that got him distracted and now hes playing with something else. I just don't know what to do in situations like this because i never want to spank him and when i did it he didn't notice because it was soft. But i try everything i can think of to distract him but it doesn't work. Is it his age or is he trying to tell me something?

Try not to beat yourself up, we all lose our temper from time to time. Just remember tomorrow is a new day.

It's so hard. Especially when they are doing something that can hurt them. Tomorrow will be better.

Is there any way you can block it off? At that age, that's the best option: remove the problem. We have gotten rid of so much stuff at our house because it's been the easiest option.

I had to put a chair in front of it and my husband is going to figure out something else to because the chair cant stay there.

My 1.5 yo dd is the same. Few days ago she switched off my fridge containing bm. Luckily i noticed it after 1.5hrs and the frozen bm did not thaw out. I am also trying to think of ways to block her access.

The thing i know now is spanking him did absolutely nothing and he just looked at me weird. Normally he listens really well but when we visit my inlaws the couple days after he doesn't listen because all the kids in that family just does whatever they want so my son thinks he can act like them.
