I did a test this morning which came back negative after a few minutes. I sat it on the bathroom counter and went out for awhile and when I came home it had a super faint line. Do tests show a faint line once they have been sitting for awhile?

I'll be testing again in a few weeks if my period is still a no show, I'm just going to assume the test went positive because I left it for over a hour ?
