dentist for babies

Does anyone know a good dentist for babies in sydney. My son who is 10 months old slipped in the bath yesterday and some of his front tooth kind of scraped off. I really want to get it looked at asap and hopefully it can be repaired.

I'm pretty sure he will need something put over it at least because otherwise its all exposed and open to decay and could also become sensitive. Thats what I meant when I said repaired.

It's still worth getting looked at though. We're going back this week so they can put some stuff on her tooth to help prevent nerve damage or something.

Personally I wouldn't even worry! My dd has a chipped front tooth. It can't just be repaired lol! If it was serious & was a lot of blood u could take him to make sure it won't rot but honestly I wouldn't bother.

In Adelaide we get told to go to "school dentists" as I believe if a child turns 2 in any month of the calendar year they are covered by a dental scheme. It entitles you to $2000 of treatment over 2 years. We recently had an incident with our daughter and eventually got on to the school dentist system (after being told wrongly to go to the women's and children's hospital)

If you're in Sydney we've been going to dr Chinh Nguyen in Liverpool. I've been happy with him thus far :-)

Why is there an American in here? Did you manage to see a dentist yet hun?

I would go straight to the dentist, my dd smashed her front teeth on the monkey bars and now her two top teeth have come out and the other ones aren't ready to grow yet. We have to have a follow up X-ray to make sure these other teeth aren't damaged.

I'd go to your family dentist and if necessary they can refer you to paediatric dentist. (I've recently had to take my ds). I'm not sure that a gp would know much about teeth.

I'd get a gp too take a look first if u havnt already? Hopefully it's nothing to serious but as it's his baby tooth I'm sure there is no real cause for concern?

My lil man has a jagged chipped front tooth :( I was just told nothing they can do but wait till it falls out and he grows his adult teeth.. He was 12 months when it happened..

Hope u get same result and nothing serious.. Good luck
