Milk
Does anyone that doesn't drink cows milk still eat cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc?
I started drinking milk this pregnancy because my ds is allergic to dairy and I feel so bad for him because he can't have pizza or cakes at parties or anything and he tells me he wants to try them so badly. So my doctors said I should drink milk and hope it helps decrease this baby's chances of developing an allergy to it.
I taste the cow's milk flavor in any dairy product and it grosses me out. I LOVE silk brand yogurt, daiya or follow your heart brand cheese, tofutti ice cream/sour cream/cream cheese. Even Ben and Jerry's makes non dairy flavors now. My DH is an omnivore but gobbles up my vegan food too. If you don't like one brand or item keep trying others. There's a huge selection nowadays.
Thanks for the responses. I've been wanting to switch to a nut milk instead of cows milk. Milk is hard on my baby's tummy, but nothing else seems to bother her.
My mom is lactose intolerant so she can't drink milk. However she can eat small amounts of some dairy products like cheese or yogurt without it bothering her. I personally am not a fan of drinking milk. Just don't like the taste very much. However I love my dairy products. Could never give up cheese and ice cream.
I try and avoid milk as much as I can (I bf and dd is allergic to milk). There are some days that I'll eat cheese but that's it. The dairy-free cheese isn't too bad but it's not the same ?
