limited ultrasound?? Can someone please explain to me what a limited ultrasound is please?

Mines was considered limited because they couldn't see everything that they needed to see.

I was hoping i could find out my baby's sex but I guess I'll have to wait until 28 weeks?

Limited ultrasounds check the heart rate and growth and just general health I guess would be the best way I could explain it... idk why they would only do a limited with you being so far along though. .. normally the limited ultrasound is done earlier and then at 20+ weeks you get your full ultrasound.

I'm moved out of town and have to wait three weeks to see a new dr so they gave me the free option

I had a limited ultrasound at 24 weeks to check my fluid level. I think pp is right. A general check for basic measurements to make sure baby is growing on track.
