Dying to be pregnant again?
Dying to be pregnant again?
Just had #5 in April and I thought she was my last but now all I can think about is getting pregnant again:( I'm scared and confused as to why I keep having this same feeling and urge after every child. I don't know if it's the excitement I miss or what but it's really starting to screw with me:(

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! My husband really does want to be done but says he wouldn't mind one more but this is the path we have taken since #3 so 6 would have to be it. I just know I'll feel the same way after If we do have one more so I'm not sure what to think or do anymore :( will the feeling ever go away?! So hard:( I love being pregnant and I think I miss that part, but I'm also almost 36 so time is not on my side ?

Maybe try looking for books and things to read regarding this. Sometimes if we can learn more about ourselves we can accept change. I myself will be looking for articles and books to read about transitioning out of "childbearing years." This is number only number 4 for us but I get the same feelings as you after every child.... my desire for another is just a bit later, when my youngest turns 2.

We just lost #5 due to missed miscarriage earlier this month and we've already started trying again. I'm 35, will be 36 in January. I truly believe I'm addicted to having babies. I love the thrill of finding out I'm pregnant, finding out the sex, and giving birth. And of course I love my babies!

Had number 4 last year. Find myself really really wanting number 5. Hubbie doesn't though xx

You're definitely not alone here. So many of us can identify, myself included. Our 7th was born when I was 39. The only thing that really made me feel like we were possibly done was turning 40. It was surprising and kind of a relief to be happy at the thought of being done. It was certainly a new feeling for me. So even for those mamas who can't shake the baby fever, I'm living proof that it can subside (even just somewhat). I find myself thinking more about grandchildren and the future and a new season of life (even though our oldest is only 12). I would be thrilled with another little one, but I'm more ok than ever before with the thought that we may not have another.

@emme thanks for your reply:) I really am torn:( I miss being pregnant and my #5 is only 3 1/2 months old, I just don't feel done and I was so sure she was my last. I'm so scared to push my luck and go for one more but I just can't ever shake this feeling. I am glad to know that there is hope that I will feel done someday ❤️

I am so empathizing here, but also torn for other reasons. I'm 34 and we had seven kids, 3 boys 4 girls and we felt sure there was One More boy to have, so we got pregnant thinking it was our last. We felt so connected to this boy we felt like we could nigh sense him and his eagerness to join our family. Then we found out it was a girl!

I completely understand! Some days I look at our family photo and I think there is a child missing, but then I wonder is that just me making an excuse to have another baby. I also love the thrill involved but I'm so scared of the risks:( my hubby works 2 jobs as well and I'm afraid eventually we will be spread too thin both physically and financially. However none of this stops my want to do it again:( I love being a mom
