I had 2 36 wkers one was 4 pounds and 1 was 5 pounds and they were both in preemie clothes and diapers for the first month

Just depends on weight! My babes was a week late, 6 pounds 2 ounces, she’s over a month old now and still is small in newborns!! Bring what you think you’ll use, no one will judge you if you over pack☺️ (I DID!!! Lol)

@mamabearof2girlsnaboy, I agree my daughter wore premie for a couple of weeks and newborn for two months and she was 6lbs when we went home

Mine were born at 38 weeks and I had newborn clothes and wished I had brought a preemie outfit bc they were too big so I would say bring a new born and a preemie just incase. One of mine weighed 6 lbs 10 oz the other weighed 6 lbs 8 ozs and newborn was pretty big

37 weeker 7lbs 4oz we brought 0-3 clothes wish I would have packed newborn

@leslyev92, i had one this weekend at the hospital but they did not let me know babys weight, they just said he is the right size for the amount of weeks... However, since im considered high risk im sure ill get another one with my dr.

My twins were born at 35 weeks 5lb 13oz were in preemie clothes for maybe a week but newborn fit them too so I’d say if you have an estimated weight over 5lb newborn will be fine.

My first was born at 37 weighing 6lbs 15 wore newborn clothes

@yesicondaa, yeah, regardless you should be having an ultrasound soon? They can give you an estimate of babys weight there.

@leslyev92, ok thats reasonable! I should be having mine sometime between 35-37 weeks no further as Dr. recommended. so i think ill do newborn size instead.

Depends on their weight. Newborn is 5-8 lbs so newborn might not be a snug fit but it probably won’t be too big, my 1st was born at 35 weeks and 2nd at 37 weeks and they both started off with newborn clothes. They were both 6lbs & a couple ounces.

Depends how big ur baby is .. some people have big babies by that time and some have small babies
