Stress tends to cause high BP and that of course isn't good for you or the baby especially if you're developing preE. I would just be honest with your OB and tell them you're getting really stressed with work. I'm sure they would completely understand and write you a note.
When I was pregnant with my first I had the flu and it developed into bronchitis. I worked a very physically demanding job and I was feeling weak. I was honest with my OB and told her I needed a break and they wrote a note for me to be out of work for a couple of weeks. In your case it's very much necessary for you to relax so I see no reason as to why your OB would have a problem doing so. I hope everything is okay and that you start feeling better!
Yes. With my second, I had him write me a note for a max of 32 hours a week, which meant dropping my half-day shift on Fridays. I was contracting every day, tired, and really stressed out. That was at 32 weeks. I delivered at 38+1, but delivered my first at 36 weeks.
Yup- when I was pregnant with my twins. My job involved me standing all day long on a concrete floor... I got a note at 6 months. He offered it... I didn't even realize I could get off work before the babies came. I also got paid leave. Good Ol' Canada.
Yes, I could no longer physically meet the demands of my job due to my severe sciatica. I could barely walk, bend, or maneuver in certain positions anymore and it was required to transfer and lift my patients.
I had high blood pressure plus my job is 70 hours a week (then a week off but it was too much at the end) so she allowed me to have pregnancy disability ?? took off two weeks before my due date and so happy I did. I can't imagine if I worked!
Yes. I did at 35 weeks with my son. My dad just passed and I was left to plan his funeral and take care of everything. I was a emotional wreck. There was no way I could have went to work.

Yeah, I'll get paid if they medically write me out and then I'll still get my paid leave afterwards as well.
It's not even as much about the money, I just want to make sure this baby stays safe and continues to thrive.
