Yes ?. My poor little neighbor boy had it years back. He ended up admitted to Children's hospital after several misdiagnoses. He had dangerously high fever and his skin was peeling off ?. It was horrible. I pray your daughter doesn't have it!
My daughter had Atypical Kawasaki last year. Her fevers were extremely high and a horrible rash and peeling skin. :/ I hope your little one does not have it!! It's a miserable time and scary. My daughter was admitted to the hospital for i.v treatment. Unfortunately due to misdiagnosis before hand she also had Erythema Multiforme from antibiotics and steroids so her rash was really bad.
So far no rash at all - which is good but also is usually our biggest indicator of strep. Her current symptoms are high fevers that stay high even with Motrin, swollen tonsils and lymph nodes, super red eyes with no drainage, bright red cracked lips with some red dots surrounding them.
Yesterday she laid on the couch for 4 hours and didn't move. The TV wasn't even on. She just laid there she was so sick. I've never seen her so sick.
The doctor did put her on antibiotics for the strep. PP - was the second thing your daughter had caused by antibiotics?
I believe there was another mom on here a few months ago whose son may have had it. They were in and out of the hospital for a couple weeks. I'll see if i can find the post
They said if she still has a fever on Saturday to come back in and they would check her again. If she is still showing the symptoms, they will start treatment ASAP. Luckily, still no rash but I'll be checking her constantly!
