Need advice
I found out today we lost our son at 20 weeks. I can either deliver him or have a D&E. Has anyone been through this? I really don't know what to do. I can't bear the thought of him not being intact but the thought of laboring and delivering a dead baby is just awful. I don't know what to do! Ugh, why??? Why is this happening?

I had a d&c, but I wish I wouldn't have. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but for me, I hate that I never got to see my baby. I regret it everyday, and I really feel like it would have helped me get closure. I do understand why you wouldn't want to deliver though.
I am so sorry for your loss. ?

I don't know the difference between a D&C or a D&E. The D&E is a two day process, but I won't be able to see baby as he will be dismembered during extraction. I just don't feel right doing that to my baby.

I would deliver if it were me. I think being able to see and hold your baby, even take pictures, would help give closure. I would really want to be able to meet and say goodbye to the baby id carried and loved for 20 weeks. I'm sure you will do what's best for you, whichever you decided ???

A family friend lost her baby at 20 weeks and she delivered him. For her it helped to hold and be able to take pictures but every body is different. Either way I hope you find some peace and healing.

I lost my son at 18 weeks in May of last year. I gave birth to him and held him. I highly recommend that. It will help a lot for you to say your goodbyes. Praying for you. Message me if you need to talk

I experienced something similar but I was 14 wks but the fetus was still 12 wks. Yes, I had been walking around with a deceased fetus inside me. It was only God that protected me from a really bad infection. They then took the fetus like an abortion. It was very much devastating and I hope you get through this with the peace of God and have fun trying again!

I gave birth to my son stillborn at 37 weeks In January. He was pretty much full term so that was obviously our only choice. Even at 20 weeks I think I would choose to go through labor and give birth to him. As sad as it is, I needed to see and hold him. I've been in contact with many people who have been through this and a lot of times that people that don't do it regret seeing what their babies looked like later on.

I delivered my baby boy
I think its better because you at least get to hold him
And most girls regret not seeing their child

Im so sorry I can't imagine what your going through at all I miscarried early on in my first pregnancy and I was scared of seeing anything coming out.
At 20 weeks if you Google it your baby is formed and it might help you with the grieving process to deliver your little angel. You can get little handprints and footprints as mementos and also hold them. It's entirely up to yourself though remember it's your choice.
Take advice from the other ladies who have been through what your going through and decide what you feel is best for you as only you will know xx

Thank you all so much. We've decided to move forward with the labor and delivery. I'm dreading it, not the physical pain I know I'll endure, but the emotional pain after it's over, after he's here. If you pray, just pray for God's love and peace to embrace me and my husband as we go through this.

So sorry.
I delivered our DS last year at 22 weeks. It took 7 hours from beginning to end. I value the time we had with him and the beautiful photographs we have. It means to me that he existed and was a real person.
Love and hugs to you at this horrid time RIP little angel taken too early

My heart and prayers go out to you strong women! I miscarried at 9 weeks at the beginning of this year and now 15 weeks pregnant. You ladies are strong. Can't even begin to imagine what you guys are going through. Sending lots of prayers for you ladies this morning.

Wow I am so sorry for your loss. I delivered both my angels Anesa, 5 mons and Zain at 6 mons. I got to see both my precious babies and went through the labor both times. Its gonna be okay, you just go through the pain that few hours. Good luck.
Oh and we actually went through a burial. Which is a must in our religion, once its called a fetus than we have to bury him/her. We buried first our daughter than my son right next to her. So they can play together in heaven. And I can always visit them.

Thank you ladies, my heart breaks for all of you as well. I hate that we're here.
Enoch Maximus was born sleeping last night at 9:58pm. He was so precious and peaceful. I miss him so much.

So sorry for you loss. I had to have a D&E at 14 weeks due to the risk of hemorrhage. They litter ally didn't give me a choice. It haunts me to this day that my poor sweet baby was ripped apart. God will take care of you. I'm so sorry for your loss. Also, no one told me I would get breast milk in. That was horrible. I would bind your breasts now to avoid going through that.
