Baby won't bear weight on leg

Yes I had this problem with one of my boys and I ended u up taking him to the er, because they can do x-ray and other testing you can't do at a regular hospital. I can't remember exactly what was wrong with him (he's 12 now lol) but she definitely needs to be seen.

Not to scare you at all ! But my nephew was diagoned with neuroblastoma cancer around that age and is still fighting. He started complaining around 15 months of his leg hurting and limping. Again not to scare you but wouldn't hurt to have it checked out?

It happened to a friend of mine, her little guy was 14 months and refused to walk or crawl and was fussy. He ended up with a hairline fracture and was in a walking boot for two weeks. He is a normal two year old.

I had that issue. Turns out she fractured her tibia. I would make an appt right away!!

That happened to my daughter and it ended up being toxic synovitis (basically a hip infection). She went from walking normally, to collapsing on the stairs 2 minutes later.

We are at the doctors now. I'm freaking out honestly. I am usually pretty easy going, even when it comes to illnesses with the kids. I just don't get stressed/freaked out very often. Something just doesn't seem right and I feel like something is really wrong, I'm on the verge or crying which NEVER happens. I noticed a little lump in her leg yesterday, the same leg. I'm freaking out.

Following, this happened to my son and it was a fractured leg. Thankfully we saw what happened and kind of figured that's what it was and were able to take him to the Dr right away.

The doctor didn't seem too concerned with the lump, she said maybe some kind of inflammation. She didn't know what was wrong with DD either. She pushed and moved her hips, legs, knees, feet, etc and nothing seemed to bother her. She sent us to the hospital for x-rays but they didn't tell me anything. They took the X-rays and then said the radiologist would review and give my doctor the results. Now that it's 5:30pm, I doubt I will hear anything tonight. ?

She's sleeping soundly right now.

When my lo broke her leg we had to be seen a few times because the doc manipulated her leg and she didn't complain. We went back a few days later and they did the x day and found it. It is good that they sent you for x ray right away!

Hopefully they will call me first thing in the morning!!

Hopefully she's just getting ready to go thru a growth spurt and is having some bad growing pains.

It's almost 7:30 now and not much has changed. She is in a better mood but won't bear down or walk. ?

Yay! The doctor actually just called me and there are no breaks! She said if it doesn't get better in the next 24 hours to call them and they will send her for an ultrasound to check her joints and see if there is anything else causing it. ☺️ Feeling relieved it's not a break! Hoping it resolves on it's own.

Update! She's doing much better today. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers!

I'm glad she feels better. Maybe it was bunched up nerves? My Mon says that can happen. But happy that shed walking better today.

My son had something like that and it turned out to be transient synovitis.

Glad everything is ok! My son is going through this and it turns out he has mono (yes mono, no I don't know how he got it!) And the doctor figures he just has severe body aches. I have been regularly giving him Tylenol and ibuprofen per her recommendation and he's like a new baby!

Eta: my son has been crawling and not walking much, he is not bearing weight on both legs rather than favoring one.
