I used to have these reactions all the time as a kid. It was from food coloring, especially red40.

Just read your comment. I'm willing to bet it's food coloring from the candy. My reactions started with my lips. But as time went on sometimes it would be my eye lids or tongue and once my throat. It's scary! You have to watch out for so many foods! Sometimes bacon in restaurants has been colored. Sometimes blue products have red coloring in them.

I had to steer clear of candy, chips, sodas, fruit punch, etc etc for my whole young life! Halloween was a sad time for me. Haha
