What's his main issue with them? Is there one or two he has with most? You need to chat with the realtor on the side and tell him what you think about where your search should go. And fast! GL. Where will you go in the interim? We did this once and the new buyers let us stay an extra ten days at the fee of $100/day. NOT ideal but better than storing stuff for a few weeks then moving it a 2nd time to house combined with what a hotel cost per night is. I'm sorry.

I hope your realtor can make a list of your husbands "must haves" and find something that he agrees to.

Sometimes it's good to list your home for sale and make it contingent upon the purchase of your new home that way there's less stress towards the end is escrow

What issues is he having?

I understand not wanting to give too much on such a large purchase, but I learned while buying our home that there's so much that can be changed with minimal effort!

We are downsizing and moving a little further out so I can be a SAHM. I think he just doesn't like these because he thinks we're going to get the same thing we have now, out there and that's just not going to happen. He finds the tiniest things wrong with every house and then shuts off any possibility of it.

They've given us the option to rent back until Oct 1 but we have to pay their new mortgage, which is much higher than we are paying now.

Its time for an ultimatum. 22 houses is ridiculous. Unless you're buying a new build where you can customize it, your dh is going to have to lighten up a bit. You can always change what you don't like once your settled in. Id be so annoyed

Yeah that sounds incredibly annoying. I'd print out the listings of all 22 houses and make him sit down and write out on each one what his problem was. Then make him sort them into two piles, one with minor flaws, the other with major flaws. Out of 22 houses, there HAS to be something he can give on or y'all can figure out how to fix. Because 22 is ridiculous, at that point you've seen every style of home your area has to offer in your budget.
