When I have laborer at my home doing work for long periods of time I usually pick a meal to purchase them. If they are there during lunch I'll order them pizza, Chinese, or subs. But not tip them. We don't have professionals install things often because we are big DIYers but when we do this is how we "tip"
I ended up tipping since they worked so hard and had to take apart mine and my son's beds. I also offered drinks and subs but they only took me up on the water. ☺️

I'd assume that you paid extra to have it installed, rather than just buying the carpet and doing it yourself. So I wouldn't this time.
