Sharp back pain

I woke up this morning with this sharp pain between my shoulder blades. I thought something was biting me so I went into the bathroom to look but couldn't see anything. I woke my husband up and told him to look and tell me what was on my back. He couldn't see anything so he started to run his finger up and down my spine and when he touched this one spot, I yelped out in pain. It felt like I was being stabbed! He touched it again, and it almost brought me to my knees. He said he can't feel anything, no knot or bump.
