If I would have had an actual wedding, I would have LOVED a barn wedding. Lots of pretty white lights and candles...

I know a few people that have married in a barn, we have a local one that hosts weddings, but I'm unsure of the details on prices and everything.

We got married at my family's ranch. Wasn't in the barn as our barn is used for cows & horses, but it was rural.

My advice is to first look into the cost of insurance. Weddings/receptions mean drunk people if you allow alcohol and that means dumb shît will happen.

It was $500 for one day, all day event. It didn't include food or drink they could've but that would've costed more. $500 included rooms to get dressed for both parties, a full kitchen, storage for extra decorations, tables, chairs, lights & sound. It is defiantly worth it to get married in a barn, but you just can't use real candles which sucked because finding frameless tea candles was extremely hard.

I got married in a barn, it was a beautiful venue, nothing was included and it was expensive, that was my splurge, I did a lot of the other stuff DIY to save, out barn rental was 3,000, and I've seen some go upwards of 5,000. It was worth it to me, if u have any questions you can pm me, the only thing they provided was bathrooms and they where kinda the day of coordinators, they set things up and made sure the day went great

My in laws have an amazing barn that would be perfect for weddings. The insurance is out of control though. Then there are permits for alcohol. It's alot more than you would think

We're getting married at a farm in September this year- $1250 for access 6am-midnight, fifty guests, six tables and chairs provided. This was by far the LEAST expensive farm/barn venue within a twenty mile radius.

Oh that's interesting, they pushed the insurance requirement off on you.

The insurance would be a huge concern, mainly because where I live, people would only have spring-fall weddings, not outdoor winter weddings.
