Hydrocortisone on baby acne??
At her 1 month checkup, our pediatrician said my DD's baby acne was really bad and to put hydrocortisone on it. I didn't because it's not bothering her and I just wanted it to clear up naturally. It's not going away though and it seems to be getting worse.

My DD had a spot of baby acne on her belly and it got pretty dry and looked painful so I broke and put some on there and alternated every diaper change with it and coconut oil and it cleared up in like two days. I like to explore the natural routes as well but it just got so out of hand I had to do it.

I did and it helped my dd but I also used breastmilk (what little I produced). Dd's dr said hers was baby acne, but I ended up figuring out it was an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent on my clothes. I ended up switching everyone in the family to free and clear detergent. That got rid of a lot of it and the rest cleared up by using the breastmilk and hydrocortisone.

My dd pediatrician also prescribed her hydrocortisone at her 1mth check up.. I was a little hesitant .. But I tried it and it cleared up in like 2days .. It was surprising how fast it worked .. Breastmilk didn't help at all.. In fact I felt like it made it a little worse .. I used very little and just kept her face dry and washed her up with a warm rag a few times a day when she would spit up..

Ok, I think I'll try it. I feel so bad but it's all over her face, neck, ears and now on her scalp under her hair. Poor little thing. :-(

It didn't work for my dd. I started to use aveeno baby eczema care and washing her face with water twice a day.
