I dont think you should refrigerate them, just keep them in an air tight container and frost in the morning. Refrigerating them may cause them to get hard. Im no baking expert but I hope it works out for you

Making the batter the night before and refrigerating and making them the next day might be a better opition

You can freeze cupcakes and still have them taste fresh. Plus they are a little easier to ice since they aren't hot. I'd take them out if the freezer that morning and then start icing them about two hours before the party

Bake them the day before and store them in an airtight container. (Can even do 2 or 3 days before and freeze them). Frost them the day of and you'll be good. :)

Always store in an airtight container if you make ahead. Make sure they are fully cooled off before storing or you will get soggy cupcakes. Never make batter ahead and refrigerate. You're rising agent isn't going to work. All ingredients should be room temp before mixing :)

I agree with other pp's, freeze in airtight container and take out a couple hours before and ice them
