I don't think your crazy. I never thought I would want to be a sahm, but it actually makes me really happy. I work from home too, but only maybe 20hrs a week. And that's when I'm busy. Thankfully we're in a position where its cheaper to not pay daycare and for me to be home. I wouldn't mind not working in the least bit and I'm sure that when I have 2 babies, I'll feel even stronger about that lol. For some, it just works.

I wish I could be a sahm or even a wahm. Just to be able to see my dd more often. But somebody's gotta pay the bills

Is there any way you could work say 20 hrs a week and not 40 OP?

I am in the same exact situation .... Like to a tee!!! I still don't know what to do either.

I'm struggling with the same issue, I have been a stay at home mom for all 5 of my kids when they were born and have been working for the past year and a half well now that I'm almost due I'm trying to figure out how I can stay home with this baby too without it hurting us to much now that we have been used to the extra income coming in ?

What do you do? Could you cut your hours?

I'm a cyber security engineer and I probably could go part time, but our finances would still be tight if we stayed living in this house. It's big and expensive, we spend over $3K just in house related bills: mortgage, utilities, cable, internet, etc.

I work for a small company so I always worry about going part time, losing all of my benefits, vacation, holiday pay, etc and still end up working more than 20 hours a week because there is always a need to work more and more. That's why I kind of just want to part ways for good and just be a full time stay at home mom. My husband works full time and also recently started his own business making/selling snowboards. I want to run the company for him because I'm very business savvy, he is more of the visionary but doesn't have the business sense. I think we could be very successful but I just can't take on one more thing right now with both of us working full time.

2y ago i used to work for a bank from home on an excellent wage, didn't have to leave the house. All my comforts at hand.

Ppl don't understand having ur kids so close yet so far (can't even talk to them because i was dealing with clients on the ph) is even harder than dropping them off and not seeing them whole day.

Like other said try to cut ur hrs and find a work life balance

I want to downsize and move a little further out (I live in one of the most expensive areas in the nation), but I have to convince my husband. He's stubborn and he loves money, sometimes I feel like he loves it more than me.
