What they wont tell you about birth...

Yes the bleeding afterbirth I knew nothing about.. After I had my daughter I was like nobody ever told me about this.. You make up for not having a period for nine months ?

Lol you're right about that. It's like nine months of a blocked up period

This was all true for me and made me lol. The hair falling out was crazy! So much damn hair I thought I'd go bald. And for months after even. And yes u continued my prenatals and it still happened.

Number 4 was especially true for me! But this was funny!

To help with 2.: ice diaper! Pour some water into a newborn size diaper and then freeze it. Once frozen, stick that sucker in your underpants. It will help with the swelling, it wont leak, and it will catch some of the blood. Freeze a few of them and reapply as needed.

I only spotted after both of my csections I had amazing doctors:)

#7 caught me off guard the first time around. He slept all the time and then complained about how tired he was. I wanted to stab him in the face. This time he is not allowed to stay over night at the hospital. I'm gonna need a day or two of freedom from his snores.

I was very lucky and only bled for a week. With my daughter my hair never fell out and I looked better than I did before I got pregnant but about a week later I looked ridiculous and my hair never fell out lol but I am sure all of the horrible stuff will happen to me this time.

No one told me about the emotions and sweating! With my first I was in for a shock when I was sweating profusely and crying happy and sad tears lol! Not how i am typically and I didn't know it was "normal". Happens to me every time though :)

With both my kids I did not lose any of the hair on too of my head after giving birth but I did lose almost all my pubic hair...weird eh?? One thing I think you should add is after giving birth your vagina becomes like the Sahara desert! So freaking dry it would hurt to even attempt to wipe little on have sex without tons of lubricant!!!

I didn't know about the blood clots..I had one the size of a baseball..I told my doc about it and he said as long as it's not as big as a softball. I was 18 and freaked out.

Omg yes I remember being so scared to poop! Lol

This is so right, I got at least 5 out of this list. No one told me about any of them. Which is so surprising and made me feel like I wasn't normal.

The bleeding was a complete shock. Ftm (19yrs old), I was kept in hospital for 3 days. 3rd day I got home and cried for 12 hrs straight. I cried into my breakfast, I cried doing a load of washing it was awful. I couldnt stop and no one told me nothing about it. I was terrified!!!

Ignorance isn't bliss, I think it's awful they don't tell ppl about all these 'after affects'.

They spend so many weeks, scanning, checking, discussing and informing you of what's to come, but completely leave these very normal and highly likely symptoms after birth. It made me feel like a weirdo cause it didn't even cross my mind they left it out. I was sure it had to be me.

This is soooo true. I experienced the 6 weeks of bleeding (couldn't understand how that could happen and was alive to talk about it). Definitely the breastfeeding...they make is seem so loving and such a bonding experience. My son didn't want a boob in his mouth, and to prove it he bit my nipple as hard as a newborn could and wouldn't suck. I pumped and gave him a bottle. He "latched" on to that nipple lol.
