I would definitely bring it up. Because if you can't sleep, just imagine when your baby is here. I know it can be awful. I have the worst neighbors. But it's worth a shot. But I would try to be calm.

I would say something. I have a dog and during the day if he's outside he barks a lot. But I would want someone to tell me if my dog was keeping them up. Is it only a recent thing? Like maybe they got a puppy and are currently trying to crate train. Either way I would say something to them. And try to be calm. If you come off like that then they might just shrug it off. But if your calm and nice they'll feel bad and try to fix it lol.

Could you make a noise complaint to your local council and then they can keep you anonymous and give them a letter or phone call warning saying complaint has been made by some neighbours in your street. Then they owners of the dog won't know it's you.

Take a video of the barking dog. Then call the cops for a noise complaint. If they still don't do anything about the dog, video it barking again. Then talk to them in person. If they still do nothing sue them lol and use the video and noise complaint as proof

Well I actually called the police last night and they said I had to call City Hall and make a complaint. Id rather tell my neighbors first before taking that step. My husband doesn't want me to do anything about it. He thinks it's going to cause problems but he's not the one who deals with this. He's gone the majority of the time so it makes me mad he's not supporting me. Plus I noticed the neighbor is not even home and they are gone ALOT! This dog is no puppy and I feel bad for it because he was probably cold. I have the same kind of dog as theirs (shih tzu) but I keep mine inside.

I have the same problem with my neighbors dog. Her house is almost connected to mine and they chain their pug to the porch. It's an open porch and the dog gets tangled up every day and barks all day. It doesn't have a dog house or blankets and they leave it outside 24/7. They are never home to play with it and i can't even check my mail without it running on my porch attacking me. I had to call the pound. It helped for few days but that's it. I'm about to snatch it and take to pound. It be warmer there.

Gosh, that's animal cruelty! I know if I ever spend the night away from home, I take my dog. Dogs are a big responsibility and if these people don't take care of their pets, they need to be taken away

I would let the police/apartment management(if your in an apartment) handle it

I would talk to them in person first. If that doesn't work call the police or animal control

I had this problem. I lived in a trailer park and one of the trailers by me let their dog run loose. No leash, not being kept inside, nothing. She would come in my yard and bark late at night or early in the morning and wake up my baby. She would also get in our trash. We had an outdoor trash can and she would knock it over and rip the bags to shred and scatter the trash all over my yard. The owners could plainly see my lot so they had to have known what was going on but never once did they help clean up. My hubby did it every single time. The dog eventually ended up breaking our trash can one day when she knocked it over.

I put a note in their mailbox unsigned (I'm home alone a lot and they could be crazy for all I know lol) and complained. Pointed out its against the rules of the trailer park to have animals roam around and that they're supposed to either be inside or in a fence/on a leash. Also pointed out that we were just off the interstate. You could literally see the interstate from my porch so it was very dangerous for the dog to be running around. The trailer park policy was animals roaming around would be taken to the pound so I didn't want to tell the landlord but the owners never did anything, even after my note. So after about 3 months of this going on I finally went to the landlord. I'm not sure exactly what happened but the problem was taken care of. The owners either took her inside, gave her away or let animal control take her. the landlord told me he was going to address them about it before he did anything rash so whatever happened was up to them. Smh poor dog.

I know that's different from your situation but it has the same message. You can leave an anonymous note in their message and if that doesn't work call city hall or whoever the police told you to call.

My dogs bark day and night but I don't hesitate to yell at them to shut up lol it usually works for quite a while, night time they are better than day.

Have you yelled at them? Some times it works. We tell our neighbors dogs to shut up too. They listen about 50 percent of the time.
