"Witchy" wife ?
I'm just soooo mad and frustrated I just need to vent ! My husband is away at work and I'm just frustrated because he's back in his room and saying how relaxing it is and how he took a long hot shower and I'm over here at home struggling to take care of my two year old plus I'm sick and nauseous and I'm having such a hard time bathing him now that I have my big ol' belly in the way. I just think about when my husband told me the other day that my job as a stay at home mom was "easy"! It's hard and I get no breaks like he does at work. I'm just so irritated with him right now

HA! They just don't get it. And no amount of an explanation about how difficult being a SAHM is will ever get them to understand. My husband has been pretty good about never saying my job is easy but I have a lot of guy friends that think I just lounge around and live the good life every day. I can't allow myself to take it to heart cause I'd be infuriated all the time too. Sorry Hun. That's just not fair! I have a 2.5yo son as well and sheesh! He's a handful all on his own. It's gonna be CRAZY adding a second into the mix. Going to work would feel like a vacation.

I know! I used to work at first and that was my "me" time. I got to socialize with other people and got to take a lunch break and eat in peace. I love being a SAHM but I just hate how people think it's easy. I was called "lazy" by a male friend and let's just say, we no longer speak since then lol

I used to look down on SAHMs and scoff at the thought of being a woman who "just didn't want to get a real job"
Then again I never wanted kids.
But then I got pregnant and now all I can think about is staying home to raise my newborn daughter and be a mom. And after opening my dumb eyes and seeing all my SAHM friends....its really a hard job! There always tired, hair in a bun, covered in random substances...but there so happy!
I think you should have your hubby wear one of those fake weighted baby bellies and watch a toddler for a couple days and then see how easy it is!

Lol musicowl! I really want to get him one of those fake bellies. I know he'll be complaining. But that's not even half of what we mothers go through. He'll never know how it feels to be nauseous all the time, or pee every 10 minutes or be sick and not be able to take medicine. Men will just never ever understand.

I so wish I could be a SAHM but finances won't allow it :( I have a friend that is a SAHM, but she is one of the "lazy" ones. She doesn't cook, clean, or any of the normal SAHM things. Her husband has to do it when he gets home from work every day. He works in construction. One child is in kindergarten and the other is in preschool two days a week. Her parents live ten feet from her and have the youngest quite a bit. She gives SAHM a bad name. I then have another SAHM that works her butt off to make sure her kids are taken care of, there is dinner in the table, her children get interaction, and all the normal SAHM "stuff". I miss my son so much working 50 hrs a day. My parents and my husband's parents get to see him more than we do :( I think some men just don't see the value of a SAHM like they should. It is actually a biblical aspect and I've been struggling with it so much, but I'm the main source of income and we just haven't been able to justify me being able to quit my 18 an hr full time job with great benifits. I wish there was a way you could leave the house and kids to him for one day and a list of what you do on a daily basis he must complete before you come home by a certain time. Then he might appreciate it a little more! I know it has to be tough. Hang in there momma, you little ones are getting a lot out of being able to be with their momma every day!
