Baby is running a fever
DS is 8 months old and is running a fever. He just had shots yesterday but he already had these shots before so I don't think it's from that. I called the dr and they said give Tylenol. It brings the fever down but doesn't break it. You can tell he doesn't feel good either. All he wants is snuggles. What else can I do to help him feel better ?

Give him a bath, see if he'll take a Popsicle, and snuggle that baby. Hope he feels better!

Isn't he too young for that? That's a lot of sugar.

A fever can last up to 3 full days before it breaks. As long as it comes down (if it's high) with Tylenol or noticing really concerning symptoms. Baby is fine. I don't usually give anything until it hits about 102C or if it's bedtime.

It's breaking a little with Tylenol. It went from 103.1 to 100.8. Maybe just a Luke warm bath and some snuggles will do him good.

Maybe you could puree some fruit and make popsicles?

Saailer he got DTap, hib and IPV. He was behind on shots due to us switching Drs offices so that was his actual 6 month shots. We go back at the end of May for 8 month shots.

My LO usually doesn't react to shots but once in a while she'll get a low grade fever. And Popsicles are fine if they're sugar free! You just have to let it ride and snuggle it up.

@sailer my son got shots at 6mo went back for a 9mo check up (no shots) then he doesn't get shots until he's 1!
