I was thinking about making my DD a big sister kit for the baby shower so she feels involved. She is only 4 years old so it has to be age friendly. Any suggestions on what I could put in it ?

I'm actually making one for my youngest sister, since my mom is having another baby to make her feel special. She's only 2, but so far in mine I have:
A big sister shirt
Bracelet that say big sister
Books about siblings, plus her fav. books
Just a few small toys
And after we find out the gender in a week I'm going to put a onesie in there that says either "little sister/brother" for her to give to the baby.

For my oldest she got a big sister shirt and a baby doll that we named baby Emery (dd#2name). She would take care of her baby and do everything I did after the baby came.

When DS2 was born we didn't make a big brother kit (though we got big brother books part way through my pregnancy and read them all the time) but we bought ds1 a big tonka metal dump truck as a present from ds2 to him. It was great. DS1 was blown away and still (14 months later) talks about how his little brother got him his truck.

I'm planning on making one for my son, and having the new baby give it to him at the hospital when she is born. I'm going to include some new books, some snacks, a toy. Pretty much anything that can help keep my son busy when I'll be nursing the new baby and can't always play with him.

Iceberg- that's what I'm doing it for. Something so she won't feel left out during new babies arrival.

I would try to find a tiara that says big sister or make one yourself. I was given a pin at the hospital when my sister was born that said big sister, I still have it
ETA: id also give her a task at the shower like she can pass out thank you notes to all the guests that way she feels important and gets lots of attention herself
