I'd tell close friends and close family, but wait till after 12 weeks to tell co-workers and acquaintances. It's difficult, but it's safer emotionally and will allow you to get support from your loved ones. Congrats!
You can share whenever you want. With my son we shared right away and I was 5 weeks. I got pregnant on Mirena and we announced on Christmas morning and sadly had miscarriage day after Christmas. I was around 7 weeks. This time we only told his sister and one friend and won't be announcing until my first appointment on January 14th. It's so hard to not tell anyone
I am waiting until I found out the sex cause I have had three previous miscarriages and now I'm on progesterone since the doctor did testing and found out my body doesn't make as much as it should ! :) and my numbers are doubling perfectly
We told our parents on Christmas, after we had our first us and saw the heartbeat. I was a day shy of 8 weeks. Will tell the rest of the family and friends around the 12 week mark and work shortly after that.
My husband and I have decided to only tell close family and friends for the first trimester, as we would reach out for their support no matter the circumstances. We will tell everyone else after 12 weeks.
We told our immediate family on Christmas we were expecting. We are waiting until Valentine's Day (at 12 weeks) to put it on social media to share it with the rest of our family and friends. Most people tend to wait until after 12 to 14 weeks to share the news when the chance for miscarriage is the greatest but of course share it when you are ready the most comfortable to share the news with the people you want to.
I'd wait till your in the second trimester... I was 7+4 days and told everyone as soon as I found out. Miscarried sat. Its horrible feeling for everyone to kno and to have to tell people who didn't kno it happened,.. I'm never again telling a soul till after first trimeser
We waited til after our first appt at 8 weeks to share with anyone and even then we didn't tell many...we're waiting til after the first trimester to share with more people and decided to do the social media announcement on valentines day
I announced to my family before ultrasound at 7 weeks than announced to everyone on Christmas so 9w 1d. Had ultrasound and heartbeat was great at 179 so I felt comfortable!
We told family and close friends right away. Everyone else I wanted to wait, but my husband decided to announce it on social media on Christmas ? I'm 9w3d today.

I would say after your first ultrasound when you confirm everything is moving along as expected. That always when I did!
