I watched scary movies as a very young kid and loved them. But I've grown up to be a very weird adult lol. No help here.

My sons been a horror movie freak since age 2

My 3 yr old likes Goosebumps too but she hasn't been exposed to anything other than what she would find on kids netflix. As pp mentioned, she also likes The Nightmare Before Christmas. There are enough kid scary kid movies that I think exposing them to adult horrors is unnecessary. You never know what is going to be too much, then you'll be stuck with a kid that won't sleep at night.

Since my dd loves all things creepy, I also wonder where the lines should be drawn. She loves the Spirit store and the motion controlled decorations. She has a very very logical brain and enjoys these because she knows they aren't real and just sometimes make her jump. But, I keep her away from the really gruesome things even though she wants to explore all of it.

I agree with the pp on kids scary movies.

I would also suggest the old Disney scary movies like Halloween Town series, Don't look Under the Bed, My Mom has a Date with a Vampire, etc.

I would never expose my kids (no matter the age) to demonic like horror movies. I don't even watch that ishh.

I grew up watching scary movies as young as I could remember probably 3 or 4. Me my sister and my cousins. We would watch em all Chucky, Freddy, IT, Jason, pin head, night of the living dead etc ...My mom would have "scary movie nights" she would get us all together order pizza or make dinner then we'd all cuddle up watch scary movies and tell ghost stories and stuff. My mom would even lock herself in the bathroom with the light off screaming "Bloody Mary" and then run out and chase us around the house with ketchup on her face. It scared the SH!T out of us but we LOVED it. My mom passed away in 2007 and that is one thing my family and friends still talk and laugh about is how much she loved to scare us. We all turned out pretty "normal" besides the fact that I'm 27 and I'm still scared of the dark HAHA.

With all that said its really up to you. Some kids either love em or hate em. If you have Netflix there is a show called "the haunting hour" (I think that's what's it's called) and it's like goosebumps. Maybe one night y'all can just cuddle up and watch a good old scary movie that you grew up on and see how he likes it. If he's to scared just turn it off but if not then you got you a new movie buddy :) BOOOO!!!! I bet he will like it.

My son loved Coraline.. Creeped me out. There is Halloween town as well. It's not scary but it's themed for Halloween.

The things I grew up on would probably frighten a child lol. I grew up watching evil dead, hellraiser, exorcist, amityville, all the good stuff but my lo doesn't like scary movies, he gets scared from just watching trailers, so i'll have to wait until he's older for him to watch any.

I think the kid movies sound good for your lo op with maybe an occasional PG13 or R horror movie thrown in like sleepy hallow, house of wax etc but none of the stuff like saw or human centipede lol.

I was probably around that age when I would watch Chucky with my grandma. I am a huge horror fan now lol If your comfortable try to find a scary movie you all can watch. Like someone else said maybe try a Tim Burton movie first to see how he reacts, maybe beetlejuice would be a good one.

My step dad use to put on horror/scary movies when my mom was away. I LOVED it!!

I want my child to be the same way. Mine hasn't even been born yet, lol. But I know I want them to see the logical side of horror stuff, and to not be afraid of that type of stuff.
