Baby shower food ?
So I want to do a dinner for my shower and I'm not sure what the easiest most cost efficient way to go about this is. I am expecting maybe 35 people max. I've looked up a few catering options but everywhere seems crazy expensive. anyone know some good catering options or even some make it yourself options? It's this Sunday and I JUST finished getting all of the decorations. This is all so stressful I can't wait for it to be over

I agree with pp. I'm doing baked ziti and salad and rolls. It's cost efficient and filling.

I'm expecting 37 people max 25 minimum.
I'm getting the medium platter from subway and having them cut the sandwiches into 4s that way it feeds about 40 people. 4 different types of chips, crackers and bread for dipping, 3 different dips, fruit and vegetable platters, soda and water and a cake.
------------------------------
My shower is on Saturday at 3:30
on Friday I'm getting the fruit, vegetables and ice and on Saturday I'm getting the sandwiches and cake. I already got everything else a couple weeks ago because everything was on sale.
I bought the chips (cheeto, Frito, and durito brands) 4 large bags for $5 I bought 4 flavors 2 bags each.
Crackers large box for $3
The soda was Pepsi and mountain due brands 4 cases for $10
And sprite 2 1/2ltrs for $2
The dips and bread are homemade and I'm not the one making them so Idk the prices. But I did buy a large bottle of salsa for $3
6 1 gallon bottles of water for $3
Fruit platter $8
Vegetable platter $10
Subway $48
Cake $32
And a 20 pounds bag of ice for $2

Chicken salsa in the crockpot
Spanish rice
Tortillas
Heath Chocolate cake
Strawberries
Honeydew
Watermelon
I invited 35 people. All the food is going to cost me $100 maybe a little more depending on the price of the fruit, since I did the estimated cost about 3 weeks ago and my baby shower is on October 2

I was thinking mini bbq sliders. A huge pork roast is only like $40 and it's super easy to just throw it in the oven or slow cooker. Corn, baked beans, coleslaw. Very easy and cheap.

We are going to do bbq pork in the crockpot, corn on the cob, deviled eggs, and chips. Of course cake for dessert. ?

Spaghetti, salad, dinner rolls, cupcakes, and drinks. You can also have some sandwiches or pasta salad for those that don't want spaghetti.
