So i had to find out by one of my bff that my "mother and sister" were going to nyc in june the same time my baby girl is born. And wasnt told anything by them. My "mother" had promised she will help with my other kids while i was in labor.. Well good thing i have back ups .. Well rant over! This is not the first time she takes off to another state when im about to have her grandchild.. She did it when i had my first son as well. .. That hurt even more

Aww I'm sorry! That's really crappy of her! Maybe just don't include her in that special time. Don't send her pics/updates/announcement, let her find out on FB? You should focus on you and new babu

Oh i will not include them.. Nor will i be posting pics on online either. And i sure aint taking my baby out my house to go to their place either. This was really the last straw. It doesnt bother me that she will not take care of my other kids but dont promise anything u cant keep. I have many more ppl my babies will stay with. Till daddy goes back home... Which will be the same day the baby is born. Just bites how shes not so important to them.

My c-section is June 5th and my parents are leaving on a cruise the 9th. My due date is the 10th.

I guess that goes to show we can't really depend on everyone even parents. My MIL has a surgery coming up and she made sure not to have it scheduled around my due date so she can be there. I'm not sure if my mom will be there although she does work a lot. She stayed last time tho. Thank God for your back ups tho. It's a blessing to have them. I understand the frustration tho.

My aunt is doing the same. She's going to NC 9 hours away for a few weeks, after promising she'd be here to watch my son while I am in the hospital. She's all I have... I am screwed.

Yeah we sure cant depend anybody but ourselves. Then they put all over social media oh my kids are my everything. N my grand.kids... Like i said she missed the birth of my first child n missing this one too which is my last. And both to go on a vacay to nyc. When both times she knew i was going to give birth around that time. But oh well thats life.. N sorry u girls are going thru the same.. When the birth of our babies should be worry free and just focusing on whats about to happen...

Sorry you're dealing with that. My sil lives 2-3 mins drive from my hospital and she said to drop my daughter over when i'm in labour and she will watch bubs. Another sil offered to stay at our house to help out a week or 2 when bubs is born so i'm keeping her updated with due dates etc so if she is already here she will watch our daughter while i'm in labor. We need dependable people wand last few weeks of pregnancy are so unpredictable bubs can come at any moment

My parents are going to NYC the week I am due. My niece is singing at carnegie hall so I was originally going to go until this baby changed the plans ;-) it's #2 for us so I pushed my parents to keep their plans. I have friends and family to help with my older son. Not much my parents can do to help me anyway ;-)
