Nursing while pregnant

Hello so, I just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my second child and I'm still nursing my 16month old. My breasts are really sore and every time my son latches, I cringe. I also have slight cramping while he's nursing which I know is because it contracts the uterus. I would like to continue nursing him if he doesn't self wean once my milk changes (I think?, I was trying to wean him before two but I like the idea of tandem nursing). I was just wondering how long would it be before my breast soreness and cramps go away? Please share your experiences with this if you don't mind. Thank you!
