No you're not crazy for having a schedule. You're mil does understand the baby is only 3 months old right? They sleep all the time, that doesn't make you lazy.
I'm a firm believer in schedules. You have to be willing to adjust it when appropriate (like as your child gets older and needs fewer naps and so on), but I absolutely stick with what works. You know your child best, don't let her make you second guess yourself.
Absolutely not crazy! I had to be home by 6 when my lo (currently 4.5 months) was that age. We had threat same schedule as you. That all changed a couple weeks ago, now bedtime is between 5-6 and most days I'm lucky if she takes 1 nap.
My family said the same thing when we first had our girls. They even still say it some now. But our girls are happier when they are well rested and a lot of our friends are jealous we get kid free time after 8 every night!
Your put your baby first. Your mil on the other had was selfish and put herself ahead of her babies. Babies need naps to develop and have a healthy life. Its also very important for babies to have a schedule. Things will change such as play time and nap time but baby still needs a schedule. You did the right thing. Good job mom!
Your mil needs to stay in her lane , her time came and passed to raise her children now it's your turn to raise your own and she needs to have several seats somewhere and zip it.
She's being ridiculous. Children thrive on routines. Also, my daughter is 3 months old and she sleeps WAY more than that. She is almost always asleep so I don't think you are making him sleep too much. You sound like you're doing a great job so ignore her and do what works for you!

Um, no.
My 7 month old gets crabby without naps. So, he is getting them.
If and when he doesnt want to nap anymore, thats fine.

No. You're fine. Schedules save sanity! Especially when they're older! You're doing right by starting the baby early a schedule!

She is crazy. Kids thrive on schedules and knowing what will happen next (I know he's only 3 months right now.). Please ignore her.
