Neither. I would laugh and tell them that baby is already here. No need to get angry or embarrassed. Our bodies do something incredible and they don't always go back to their pre-baby shape.
I would just say just say, "I just have birth so my organs haven't shrunk back. Then ask how far along are you?" Man or women. Doesn't matter lol
Funny story. Hours after I delivered my daughter I was walking in the hallway coming back from the nurses station. And some random ass nurse asked me if I am still pregnant. I obviously lost the hard big bump. Still swollen but still. I just side eyed her and said yes very rudely and walked back to my room to cry in peace. People are rude. Don't let it eat you up.
Aw someone did this to me a week after I had my son.. she was scanning my groceries and asked boy or girl? I go there a lot and assumed she was asking if I had a boy or girl so I told her boy. She then proceeded to ask how far along? I quickly told her no I just had my son a week ago and she tried to recover by saying oh that's why and the second I got in the car I cried.. when will people learn?!
No doubt I'd be embarrassed, but I wouldn't get angry, I'd just say that I just had a baby. It's totally normal to still look pregnant after delivery, but yes, it would probably hurt my feelings.
I came out on my cousins wedding video and I was holding my stomach like I was pregnant and they asked my little sister if I was still pregnant ?? the worst thing is that my cousin put that video on fb. I felt embarrassed but it also motivated me to start working out. Lol.
Until you have kids or know someone that has, I think most people don't know that you still look pregnant after giving birth. I know I didn't. I still remember leaving my sil room thinking why does she still have a bump?
I was asked this after having my oldest. I was 7 weeks pp and I hadn't been out the house at all. I went to get my hair cut at the salon. I was sooo excited to do something for me. Well the lady goes "when are you due??" I said "I'm not.. I just had my baby 7 weeks ago." She just said "oh that makes sense!" ... I cried when I left. ?

It happened to me and I told the lady that I'm actually not pregnant, but I didn't get mad.
However I got mad when she told me "well then it's time to bring that belly down" after she learnt my baby was 8 weeks old. I told her off

This happened to me! Some lady in passing at Walmart asked how far along I was. I was 2 days pp. I yelled 'I'm NOT Pregnant!'
Mostly to avoid being asked again. Lol.

lol when my son was a week old I was pushing him a long in his pushchair. He saw my son and said to me "wow, you don't wait long! Not long left?" ??
