Really need advice
So I'm doing this babysitting thing for my husbands step mom, I come Monday Tuesday Friday and Saturday from 5-630 and she pays me 30$ a day. (I know it's not much, but its family) so last week she didn't pay me at all so today after a long day of watching three terrors I asked for the money, only because I need to pay a bill so it's not late ! I asked her for it and she goes "uhh I guess but only a hundred." And I said okay and waited. She still didn't give it to me. I asked again and nothing and then I left. I'm just constantly getting taken advantage of because I just like to help people out and I don't ask for much in return. My husband said he doesn't want me doing that anymore because #1 if I don't have to why do it ? #2 if I'm not getting payed and I'm watching kids while their mom just sleeps all day why do it, when I could be doing something more productive at our house ? And #3 why do it for someone whose ungreatful !

Tell her you won't watch the kids again until you get paid and from now on you will need the money at the beginning if the week. If she can't do that, then she needs to find someone else. Wait until she finds out what care is going to cost her for those kids. I bet she comes running back quick.
I just went through this same thing with my son's best friend's mom and grandma. I bent over backwards for these people and didn't get any of the money they promised they would pay. I stopped letting them walk all over me and now I'm the bad guy and the grandma is talking about me behind my back to my son's best friend. Like really? Your daughter is a drug abusing train wreck, your grandson is in your custody but cps is threatening to take him and you're worried about what's happening in my house? We're good thanks. Take care of your own stuff.

Stop watching the kids. I'm sorry but time is money!!! Just because she is family doesn't mean she should be taking advantage of you.

Well, wait until she finds out what she's going to pay someone else to watch 3 kids. That'll be karma enough. I just don't understand why people refuse to want to pay when someone watches THEIR children. Like nope, I'm not watching your kids out of the goodness of my heart for free. Pay up, bish! ?

This is one of the first posts I've read where the husband was actually standing by his woman and giving the right advice even tho it involves his family...3kids/$30 is $10 a kid a day....she is a total tightarse...no way anyone cud pay me $30 to suffer that amount of stress lol

Your husband is right, even with family don't let them take advantage! If she's not paying you when to begin with you're giving her cheap childcare service, she's ungrateful and you don't deserve to be treated like that!
