After birth question ! How long did you ladies stay in the hospital after having you LO ? And why?

2 days. Because that was how long the hospital made all women stay after having a baby. Considering everything is normal and healthy. But that was 8 years ago, a lot has changed so maybe it's different now. I guess I'll find out as well!

2 days with my first 3 with my second (he was a c-section) I was grateful to stay while I could but also happy to go home. My nurses were great and there's no one to take care of you like that when you get home.

6 days with my son. I bled a lot and needed blood back also my son had strep b so he needed antibiotics. Wasn't horrible had the right support and came home with a healthy baby. It was the belly injections I didn't like too much.

Mine was two days but they had to kick me out after because my insurance would not cover no longer even though I really needed to stay longer due to problems I had

8 hours. I was low risk and in serenity suite so had my own room with a tv, bathroom and little kitchen. I should have left after 6 hours but it was really busy for baby births and cause me and baby were so chill they didn't have to rush to us. It was the hottest room in the building though so boyfriend was getting moody haha

1st lo - 24 hrs as was the hospitals protocol with an ob

2nd - didn't get enough antibiotics in me during birth so we had to stay 48 hrs to monitor the baby just in case

3 - not born yet but I'm leaving asap! We don't have insurance so I stay on a ward room with 3 other mothers. You get no sleep with 4 crying newborns. With my midwife i can leave as soon as 4 hrs after birth assuming no complications

36-48 hours after each one because that's hospital policy, otherwise I would have been out of there after a couple of hours!

All 3 so far has been 2 days. I was told depends on your insurance. I have had a few friends only stay 1 day and that's with a c sections so who knows if i could i would leave asap lol hospitals are no fun

2 days, vaginal birth. No complications.

48 hrs. Was strep b positive, otherwise they make women stay 24 hours

First was 48 hours after birth

Second 24 hours

Both were vaginal births no complications
