I have a Dodge Journey. My tank is good for ~420 miles. How far in milage do your parents live to your house. I will also add that it takes between 25-30$ to fill up my tank.

For the size, I'm pleased with the amount of gas I get per milage. Roughly 24mpg.

I have a journey. It's good on gas in my opinion. Less than 30 bucks fill it and I can get anywhere from 340-390 miles to the tank

I was able to go a little over a 6 hour road trip on a tank of gas.

I'm only having to ration laundry soap until pay day. Once we get paid we are set lol. She is less than 900 km from my house.

Fueleconomy.gov is a great website that you put in your car and trip and it estimates fuel cost based on national averages. I used it last week and the previous month for a trip and both were almost spot on.

We aren't living paycheck to paycheck. We hit a bump in the road but my husband's gone back to work now so we are golden after his up coming paycheck. Once rents paid we aren't needing to worry about anything else. We were afraid he wasn't going to end up going back to work soon enough or that he was going to get laid off and our rent wasn't going to get paid. Now that everything's sorted out we are able to continue on with our perfectly comfortable lives. I have money right now but if rather not spend it on laundry detergent in case my child needs something. In trying to avoid going and buying more detergent until our next check comes in. But this is more so a post about trying to figure out how much it would cost approximately to get my mother here to where I am so she can spend some time with her granddaughter and I can spend some time around my baby brother. That's all. I make one post about fearing that rent won't be able to be paid and now all of a sudden I'm living paycheck to paycheck and can never mention paying for something ever again. That's cute. When I want my mother to come to town We will have the funds to help pay for her gas to get here. We make over twice what they do a month and it was my idea for them to come down. I think it would be nice to help my mom do something they could never normally afford to do. They deserve a vacation and if I feel comfortable enough financially to help give them one as cheaply for them as possible then I shall do so.

I'm thinking she'll only need to fill up once on the way here so I'm looking at tops 120 out of my pocket for my momma to come see me. That's not nearly as much as I thought it would be. We spent around 400 getting here but we have a big arse 3/4 ton Silverado and were hauling around 13000 pounds give or take and there's lots of climbing to get here.

1800 km is 1180 mile. Say 320 mile per tank. 3.7 tanks of gas at $35 to fill up. $130 round trip.

I think it's just the fact that you were asking about how to make money to pay your rent, thenyou're asking about ways to conserve detergent. Now you want to pay for gas. Just go there yourself if you have to pay for her

I drive a 3/4 ton Silverado. Going there isn't an option. Its going to cost me a fortune in gas. I wasn't asking how to conserve detergent. There's nowhere in there that states I can't afford more. I just don't have much as it is and I'd like to not use it all up before payday because I would like to have some extra cash on hand in case my daughter needs something. A small bump in the road but rents all figured out. It's not really a vacation for my parents if I go there and they don't leave their home. I'm trying to help the people that have me life and raised me have a nice little vacation.

And I don't have to pay for her. I offered. And it's only one way that I'm paying because I know they are struggling and we have more than they do. I figured I would help take off some of their stress when it comes to going on a summer vacation. They couldn't afford it before I told my mom I'd help pay. I came to ask how much people would think it would cost them so I can figure out how much I'll pay and how much my mom will. I understand some people have their opinions on my situation but until your in my actual situation you know nothing about it. I have money for detergent yes but I have anxiety and with that comes a fear that I'm magically going to run out of stuff for my child and I need to keep what I have left on hand so that I feel better knowing I at least have money for something of she needs it.
