personal trainer worth it?

personal trainer worth it?

I want to get fit. My goal is to lose around 100 lbs. I'm 5 2 and extremely overweight for my height although it doesnt look it. I just need someone to help me stay motivated and push me. I'm not sure if a trainer would be worth it or not. Anyone work with one? Experiences good or bad.

I found one on groupon a while back, to try out for one month. I loved it! he taught me how to use equipment, changes in my diet I should make, encouraged me, and most of all didn't let me quit when I wanted to!

My ex husband loved his. He said he was the only thing that kept him motivated and held him accountable for his exercise and nutrition choices.

Well once I get a little more comfortable in a workout routine I won't need one but as it sits right now I struggle with pushing myself. I want to quit as soon as I feel uncomfortable.

Absolutely do it. Working out under a trainer is the only way I truly enjoy it. I spoke to all of the trainers at the gym I was interested in and linked up with the one I felt most comfortable with and would help me best achieve my goals. I sh*t you not, I was ripped within the month and it was genuinely enjoyable to go to my sessions

I currently work out with a PT! He helps modify my workouts where I'm 9w3d pregnant. He's awesome! So far I've put on muscle weight legs and arms are toning up and booty is lifting. ????

I think a nutritionist would be best place to start

I used a personal trainer and nutritionist after I had my first. I would pay attention to workouts and try to remember proper form so you can go solo and save yourself some money. I made the mistake on relying on my trainer and I had no idea what to do after using them for months.

Have you looked into CrossFit? It's kind of expensive but it's worth it, I've lost around 30lbs from doing CrossFit and eating healthy, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in and I've had two babies back to back!

Yes, to me she is.

My sil is a personal trainer. She is mine. She lives in a different state.

She has fitness plan designed to what you want. She does weightloss, weight gain, body building competition athletes, and pregnancy.

She can do either email or in gym. Depending again on your needs.

She goes over nutrition needed for your goals.

For me she has helped me mainly in diet. As diet was my biggest reason for being obese. I was active. But not enough to counter act garbage gut.

I went from 260 to 190 in a year. Than the next year my goal was the ability to maintain it in a 5lbs area. To let my skin heal and tighten naturally. Also to encourage my metabolism.

I got pregnant she has helped me stay safe in exercise and at 29 weeks I've gained 15lbs starting at the 190lbs. Slow and healthy progress. With great pregnancy healthy foods. This has been my easiest and healthiest pregnancy yet.

After pregnancy She will help me get to the rest of my goal. Of being 140lbs.

To me it was totally 100% worth it! I haven't had a personal trainer in quite a few years now but the first trainer I had helped me lose weight, gain strength (physically & mentally) & endurance. I actually learned to enjoy working out and knew what I was doing in the gym. It really helped build my confidence and was an amazing experience for me. I still go to the gym (I actually found I love crossfit these days) and I say all the time everything I love & hate about the gym I learned from my first trainer.

Frig yea!!!!! I was in amazing amazing shape when I worked with one. I learned a lot as well that will help me for the rest of my life.

I was never really into working out or knew what to do. I'd be proud of myself for getting on an elliptical for 15 mins once a week. My trainer was amazing and it was soooooooo worth the money.

I saved myself some money and got a group of friends to workout with. Lots of beach body ladies out there with groups you can join for free.

Its hard to find motivation alone, I hope you find a great support system and get to your goals! Personal trainers are great but not for me :) friends keep me way more motivated.

I joined FitBody Bootcamp. It's HIIT, kinda like cross fit. You mix cardio with strength training. Because of the way it's set up you get a great workout with your trainers. It's also cheaper than paying for your own personal trainer.
