I have a friend who just found out she's 6 months pregnant with a boy! Her due date is September 2nd. I want to get her something special closer to her due date-ish but the thing is I live in Canada and she lives in Washington state. I was thinking about building a care package for her and little one and I'm going to tell her that I sent it down but I think I'm gonna talk to her mom and surprise her with a visit shortly after babe is born. She lives 6 hours away from where I'm moving to so it's not that long of a drive. I need help figuring out what I am going to get for her that can cross the border and what I'll need to bring my daughter across the border. Chances are my husband will be out of town working so I'm pretty sure I'll need a letter consenting to me leaving the country with our daughter? She won't be a year old. Will she need a passport or just a birth certificate? Shell be almost 9 months when my friend has her baby.
