Any ladies live in Alberta?

I do but I'm in Calgary, I've heard good things about High River, Chestermere and cochrane but neither of those are near Red Deer.

Chestermere is where my aunt lives. I hear it's filled with drugs. Idk though. I want to move close to red deer cause that's where my cousin is living. I want to get out of medicine hat but I want to be close to someone I know so that I'm not completely alone as my husband is never home.

I've never once heard that about chestermere and I have a few friends that live there, seems nice to me.

I'm in Stony Plain. Right next to spruce grove and only 25minutes from Edmonton. I grew up in Edmonton and I love it here and it's nice being close to a big city but not living there.

My mil lives in spruce grove. I'm thinking innisfail Bowden blackfalds and sylvan. That area. Close enough to Edmonton that I can make a day trip with my daughter to west ed and close to red deer so that I can see my cousin on a regular basis.

I'm in Alberta but way in the opposite direction.

I'm in Red Deer. A lot of people are moving to Blackfalds, Penhold, or Innisfail. I like living in the city though, but it's easy to get to from the neighbouring towns if you don't want to be directly in it.

No ideas about Red Deer, but just wanted to say hi fellow Southern Albertan! :) I'm about an hour west

Cochrane is nice, Banff and Canmore are some of my favourite places. Not really what you asked for but those are the places I like lol.

Lacombe is near red deer and really grown. I personally love Camrose it is so clean

I also live in red deer, innisfail is nice and small and super close! Blackfalds is alright but not my favourite. Also lacombe is a small city now it's around 25 mins away from red deer. And sylvan lake is around 25 mins away also but super busy in the summer, it has a lot of good restaurants!

I live by Bentley Alberta on an acreage...

Lacombe is really friendly, lots of good schools, clean, swimming pools, movie theatre, Boston pizza, Dairy Queen, Timmy's...

I can get to sylvan in 15 minutes lol. Lacombe is overpriced! It's nice, but a lot of those houses are priced as if it's in the new areas of red deer. You can get beautiful 3-4 bedroom rentals for 1500-1700 in Blackfalds. Sylvan gets super busy in the summer and it's over crowded by rowdy people in the evenings. I lived there for a year, before deciding to move.

That's what my cousin said about sylvan. She said it's nice there but really busy in the summer cause of the lake. She's only been living in red deer since December and she likes it over there. I told her to help me find a place in one of the towns surrounding red deer. Preferably on the Edmonton side so I can make day trips to west ed with my daughter. I told her if I move up there she's not allowed to move back here. She claims she won't cause her bf won't move here and she's pregnant with his kid.

Sylvan is also packed with drug users too, it's not as nice as when I was growing up.

Then Bentley would be good, super close to gull lake small and rent is good there too, it's a really cute little town, I lived there for a few yrs when I was 14

They have a police and fire station.

Blackfalds is north of red deer. There's also Ponoka, but that's 30 minutes north of red deer. It really depends how often you would want to go into red deer. If you want groceries or to go shopping than you'd want to go into town, since the small towns grocery store prices are ridiculous. My friends in Blackfalds come into town every other day at least. There's a lot to do for kids too. I hated living more than 20 minutes away from the city, since that's where everything is. I lived in quite a few neighbouring towns like Rimbey, Ponoka and sylvan. All of my family is in Edmonton and I make frequent day trips, since it's only an hour and a half away from my house. You will find it's a lot easier to get around than Medicine Hat and a lot faster too.

I was thinking about blackfalds. As I'll be going to red deer quite often and my cousin will be coming out quite often. I don't want to drive too far with my daughter. And right now going anywhere that has anything fun is 3 + hours so I can't just get up and go.

I'm in Red Deer! No one has mentioned Penhold or Springbrook yet. Springbrook doesn't really have anything but you are under 10 minutes to Red Deer. Penhold has a few amenities now and would be a good choice if you found blackfalds to be too big for you.
