None of my friends live by me! They are all 3 hours away. I feel your pain! ??

I'm actually starting to think about moving to a different town. I live in medicine hat Alberta and it's one of the worst places for meeting people. The friends I had I met in school. Noone here is very friendly.. :(

about a year ago i had a 'bestfriend' finally admit to me that the reason she kept blowing me off was because i have a baby.

having babies definitely brings out who your real friends are.

@Serena Awe. I find things like that funny because I LOVE babies. My husband has a "so called friend" who treats me like a freak now that I'm pregnant. They keep asking him if this is what he really wants and cracking jokes like if they ever babysat our baby they'd put her in a kennel with a bowl of food and water and call it a day. Their a couple that hate children and their alcoholics. The female is blatantly attracted to my husband and doesn't hide it. I can't stand them.

it didnt bother me really.. it made me kinda mad because my daughter is seriously a freaking blast lol shes the life of the party so i even told her i have more fun with my dd then i do with her. i told her it didnt bother me that she was blowing me off, just that she kept wasting my time making plans she wouldnt go through with.

Nope. The glorious province of Alberta Canada.. He doesn't say much of anything when it comes to friends of his. Most of his friends have almost caused us to split. He rarely hangs around any of them now cause I've put my foot down.

I'm in a similar boat. We moved from Indiana to south Florida in June and found out along the way that we were pregnant. I have one friend (not "anti baby" but never having kids and is happy with having her nephew, but not the same between us anymore) not far away, a cousin and aunt and uncle all about two hours away. We haven't seen them since we've moved. Other than them, neither of us has anyone around to talk to. I'm looking for groups of couples or mommies-to-be to make friends. We're due Valentine's day. I already joined the birth month group, but honestly I'm hoping we might meet others in a childbirth class. Not sure what else to do. :-\ Currently living in Cape Coral, Florida.
