SPD..?

Any preggo mommas suffering with SPD? I've had severe SPD since 25 weeks and I can't handle it anymore.. makes me want to be done with my pregnancy and I'm only 32 weeks! I can't walk much, climb stairs, get in and out of bathtub, roll over in bed, get in my truck... My husband has to help me put my pants on when he's around.. I feel so useless.. :/ I just want to stop being in so much pain! Has anyone found anything that helps? My doctor says nothing can be done about it..

I'm almost 32 weeks as well and this just started up for me about two weeks ago. I've also been recommended to go to a chiropractor I think I'll have to try it! Because no stretches in the world could help ease this pain and tylenol does little to nothing.

Oh my goodness, I have this problem so bad too! My doctor told me to drink more water...yah ok thank you! I had it really bad at 32 weeks and it went away for a little while and now at 37 weeks it is back and hurts so bad!!! I just try to take it easy and deal with it. But at night time it is so much worse I cry out in pain when getting up to use the bathroom :( if anyone has a secret please share!!!!

I've tried so much! It's not even funny. I haven't tried a chiropractor yet.. might have to. I can't work or anything. I'm in crippling pain every day all day. I'm sure my husband thinks I'm over exaggerating but won't say anything. He just helps me when I need it if he's in town. I have a cold and every time I cough my pelvis hurts soo bad I want to cry! I waddle really bad too cause my legs can't be to close together and moving at the same time.. Tylenol is allowed during oregnancy cause it doesn't do anything lol! ? ? Seriously though. Noone tells you the really shatty bits about pregnancy.. you just have to find it out the hard way! I've never heard of 90% of the things I am going through. ?

I have it, started really early though at about 16 weeks. I'm now 28 weeks and spend most days either in agony or in bed to avoid being in agony.

My doctor says the most I can do is take paracetamol, which he knows don't work for me (I've a high tolerance) and the physiotherapist just told me how to 'manage' the pain, all of which I knew already thanks to Google.

I use a support belt to try help my back pains, which sort of helps.

12 weeks to go, and my god I can't wait for it to be over. I just hope it does leave after baby arrives as some women are stuck with it for long after.

Omg I know your pain . I'm 37 weeks and everyday I cry I'm so scared when I go in labour I can hardly move. Loo trips are most dreaded at night takes me ages to get there, it's not easy when baby is pushing on bladder. I have been seeing chiropractor helps a little but few days later it back. The more I get heavier the harder and painful it get :(

A bump support and physio was the only slight relief I got. I'll try and explain the exercises but I'll probably fail miserably lol

First off pelivic floor exercises are important, i dunno why for SPD but the physio recommended them for me.

Secondly, you'll need a buddy for this. Lay on you back with a pillow supporting your head for comfort. Bend you knees, have your buddy put their hands on your knees and gently push inwards while you gently push outwards, then visa versa. Do this every day for maybe 10 minutes, it helped me. Also, invest in a good pregnancy pillow and in the meantime sleep with a pillow between your knees

Thanks. I'll have to try some of that! I've been sleeping with a pillow between my legs and my SIL just had her 2nd baby in august and she sent me home the other day with a snoogle. My SO thinks it's funny how I have to sleep with so many pillows. He's started tucking the other half of my between the leg pillow between his when we get to cuddle. He works out of town so he barely has to deal with my pillow barricade. Dogs on the other hand give me dirty looks cause they can't get very close to me. My only problem with the pillow between the legs is that it hurts extremely bad to remove that pillow.. ?
