In the past month our city has had 3 stillborns in the same week and a 22 day old pass born the same week as the sleeping babies... it makes me wonder how many of these were preventable.. My cousins on August 26th was doctor error. He skipped the ultrasound that could very well have saved her baby's life. This doctor has been the common denominator in many still birth cases and miscarriages. I'm asking tomorrow at my mat appt if I can request a different doctor or a nurse that's trained in delivery to deliver my baby. If not then I'll be going 3 hours away in 5 weeks.. :/

She's taking legal action. Her baby passed of a hematoma in the umbilical cord. The last time she heard her baby's heartbeat a nurse scheduled an ultrasound the doctor came in shortly after and cancelled it. The baby failed the movement aspect of the nst. She moved twice in the 4 hours my cousin was there. Once a hematoma is formed it takes a matter of a couple days for the baby to pass and it can be caught on an ultrasound. She's very distraught with the fact that her baby would be here with her had he not cancelled and sent her home. She was mainly there at L&D because of a seemingly "impossible" measurement difference in her last few maternity appts. She was measuring 36 weeks at the first one then the second one she measured at 31 weeks. She was 38 weeks pregnant. I'm very uncomfortable with this doctor and I may not be delivering here in the city.
