L&D?
I've been up since 730 ish. It's now 930. Aside from an extremely long bout of what I am 90% sure was the hiccups I've felt maybe 5 movements... it doesn't matter what I do I can't seem to get her very active in there.. I'm 29 weeks almost 30. Should I worry? I'm a ftm and my cousin had a stillbirth at 38 weeks so I'm normally a little more paranoid than usual.

5 movements in 2 hours seems okay, maybe babies just sleeping

Actually, there should be at least 10 movements in 2 hours. Hiccups don't count.
If you haven't felt that, go to L&D.

@saailer
I didn't think so.
But I could be wrong... ?

Have you eaten?
Eat, drink a bottle of water, lay on your side and watch some TV or something, relax. If baby doesn't wake up I'd go ahead and call L&D before heading in, see what they say.
Ive had a few friends recently have stillborns so I understand your paranoia. Good luck!

She moved quite a bit after I ate yesterday. My husband asked if I wanted to go to L&D and I told him I wanted to eat and relax first. If nothing else then we will go and she moved to a point where I was content. Hiccups don't count! They aren't voluntary movements. The baby does them sparatically and hiccups can still happen if somethings wrong. My cousins last movements she felt before being told she was having a still born were hiccups. Then the next day nothing. Hiccups let you know baby is alive but don't let you know of the babies health. My other worry at this point is the other day for the last few weeks or so she's been very strong in her movements and the past couple days now it's not all that strong. I'm not sure if weaker movements are cause for concern or not.

Hiccups do not count.

If her movements aren't as strong my best bet would be she's in a different position or she's going through a growth spurt, when they tend to be less active. Like I said don't ever feel like a bother to call your doctor or the doc on call at l&d! I promise they won't mind. Keep us updated I'm 29 almost 30 weeks as well

There are times when i dont feel baby for hours hes just sleeping. But i have worried about that before. If you have a bad feeling call!

She kicked my husband in the face today. She had a good 5 -10 minute kicking fit that was really strong. I think she senses he's leaving town for work again cause she hasn't been doing much until today. She likes to get her momma all worried. It's starting to drive me nuts. :/ I'll be a little tiny bit less stressed when she's out in the world and I can physically see when something is wrong versus going off of her movement and not knowing if she's okay or not.

Sorry I keep commenting I'm weird but also know she's running out of room! My kicks have more so turned into rolls and swipes. I'll only feel a foot occasionally. I also have an anterior placenta so movements aren't incredibly strong for me. Glad she's up and awake ?

I have an anterior placenta and apparently I'm lucky cause I've felt her everyday since 19 weeks. She's not an overly active baby (every ultrasound she didn't move) but I know what's normal for her movements and if I feel off I have gone to L&D and as soon as I'm hooked up to a monitor I feel like an idiot cause in constantly pushing the kick counter button. She's definitely a weird baby but I get so nervous when she doesn't want to move. It bothers me. Pregnancy is a terrifying but exciting experience all at once. I've had 3 previous losses at early stages and she's my first viable one.

My son never moved very much. I would drink some juice or water lay down and mess with my belly. Eventually he'd get tired of it and kick me.
