feeling discouraged

I'm just so frustrated with my weight. I've tried coming to terms with having this extra weight on and accepting myself and loving myself. I did it to myself, during my pregnancy I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and I ate lots of carbs cause I craved it and with all the constant nausea I had it helped to keep my belly constantly full, and now I'm paying for it. I'm carrying an extra 40lbs, I'm sorry if this sounds petty to anyone who is struggling with more, I don't mean to be unthankful in any way for it only being that amount...it's just for me I'm struggling with that. The only clothes I can wear are tights or well that's it...and my belly hangs over my section cut so it's always sweaty and smells at times, my panties are too tight frig...I've been trying so hard to eat right since having the baby and I've been doing well at that, the odd time I'll have pizza or chips or ice cream, maybe once a weekend other than that I only have sugar in my morning coffee and I drink a lot of water. Well I got on the scale this morning and I weigh more which makes me sad, I've been walking an hour a day and I just don't friggan get it....

Stress and lack of sleep??

I'm sorry ur discouraged! I just got on the scale too and gained 5 lbs. Ugh. I'm still 25 lbs over my pre baby weight. It sucks!! I'm wearing yoga pants to work, because none of my dress pants fit and I'm not buying new ones! No one has noticed yet lol but you know what? Our weight don't change who we are! I'm sure ur still so awesome!! Cheer up Shari, you're still beautiful!!!

Other than eating healthy, are you also exercising? And don't pay attention to the scale. It's your biggest enemy. Look up "If It Fits Your Macros." You keep track of your proteins, fats and carbs.

And if you are exercising, try throwing in so HIIT. It'll definitely help boost your metabolism!

Yes I'll have to stay off the scale. I bought it two weeks ago and it's been more harm than good. It may be due to lack of sleep that I retain the weight? I mean I don't feel stressed the past few months, but maybe subconsciously?

April I only started walking two weeks ago. I do an hour fast walking that's it. I could throw in a boot camp work out in a few weeks when my schedule allows...I have one I used to do before pregnancy and it's calorie burning. Idk I never had an issue losing before, but then again I never gained like this before ?

Sometimes you gain when thou are getting healthier from muscle development. Muscle weighs more than fat so it can seem like ur getting fatter when you aren't. Also is all about more out than in so worry less about strict diets and more about small changes like 1 extra bottle of water and walking 1 extra lap every day an d just know that when you binge you have to do a little extra and definitely stay off the scale. My scale almost sent me into an eating disorder before. I tossed it and took steps to be healthier not weigh less. Good luck and keep being your awesome self

I'm in the exact same boat Shari! I gained 70lbs with this pregnancy, I've lost 35 but still have about 40 more to go. I have been eating sooo healthy but still no weight loss :( I know I need to work out more, it's just so hard with a new baby and my schedule! Do you have a fit bit? If so, maybe we can set up some challenges to help keep eachother accountable? I've also looked at fitness blender, it's a pretty cool website if you haven't already seen it.

Ok thank you Steph I'll take that advice...to add little things on like extra water and extra walking. I'm going to stay off the scale for a while since its really just pissing me off more than anything.

@CM I don't have a fit bit, I wish. I'll check out that website for sure though. I know it's discouraging. I'll just keep up what I'm doing and hopefully by getting more sleep then things will improve.

While bfing, I managed to lose all my pregnancy weight and tummy fat with the help of an organic tea called Mummy magic weight loss tea. Also maintained my metabolism and still bfing my baby successfully.

I have a Fitbit cm! Shari definitely get one. I had one my aunt gave me and it died on me, I just got a wayyyy better one second hand. Now I have the blaze. It's incredible. It'll track your sleep and movement too. See if you can get a used one. I swear by it.

Also, please remember it took you 9 months to gain that weight. Give yourself at least that to start catching up!

Ok thanks I'll look into getting one.

I started a boot camp work out yesterday and decided to toss the hour walk. I was completely sweating after the workout but when I did the fast walking its just more of an enjoyable walk so it's not really helping the cause. Anyways this way when the weather is crappy I'll still get my exercise in now. And baby gets to sleep so everyone's happy.
