I don't understand...
I can't seem to lose weight....when baby was born until two months pp I lost 27lbs which I was happy about. I figured it would continue...two months exactly since then and I've only lost 4.2 lbs.

And I have at least 33.8-40 lbs to lose to get back to my right weight that's healthy for me....so it's not like my body is saying I can't afford to lose weight...

This website sums up what my doctor told me. She said around 6 months some women see a weight loss but most don't until after they stop nursing. She did say moms who eat healthy, have good water intake and exercise tend to see drastic weight loss once the baby weaned.

Sooooo....I spoke with my friendly pharmacist about this and she knows my full story. I had a trauma related injury after my section which caused a very large hematoma to develop and it was very stressful for months and only fully healed at 3 months pp. It was a really scary time for me. She said that because of my age, I'm 38, (harder to lose weight as you she) and the stress off a recovery like I had it messed up my hormones (cortisol) this is why I'm having such difficulty. She said that not that I've recovered from that and when I get more rest I'll notice a big change and the weight should start falling off if I continue with the way in eating etc....so there's hope.
I think your link was really helpful indicating the hormone issue and it ties into what she was saying.
When we are under stress the body goes into "caveman" mode and protects the body and keeps the weight on. Geesh...feel like my body is against me...
